My research has emphasized improving methodological and theoretical inquiry. For the bachelor's, I investigated music as a pedagogical tool to learn foreign languages in Ecuador. For the master's, I used photographs taken by residents to help assess the impact of ecotourism as a path for socially just, environmentally sustainable, and locally crafted development in the Dominican Republic.
Located in the center of downtown Gainesville since 1996, the Union Street Farmers Market vendors work hard each week to maintain its status as the preeminent year round family and community oriented event held in this area. Situated on the Bo Diddley Community Plaza at 111 E. University Ave, each week local farmers, bakers, artisans, musicians, and dancers join with our intensely loyal customers in a timeless celebration of this community’s seasonal bounty.
Our organizational philosophy rests in challenging systems which keep farmworkers and the rural poor in situations of poverty, exploitation, and powerlessness. We believe in the collective power of our membership and will continue to build a strong, unified force that gives power to these disenfranchised populations.

Social Art Media focuses on digital media development, which includes: web development, video, social media management, oriented to education and social issues.
